ABOUT ME

 

Hi. I'm Anthony Gordon.

I started my career working at the Bar & Clubs desk at the San Francisco Bay Guardian newspaper back in 2000. The job put in me daily contact with every major entertainment venue in San Francisco. That experience laid the foundation for my entire career. I learned to love the unforgiving deadlines of working at a newspaper. I also learned how great marketing can help grow a business. Most importantly, I learned that committing to doing excellent work is the key to success in any endeavor.

 After a few stints working at different magazines, eventually I ended up spending 11 years as the head of Artist Relations for Avid, the leading company in entertainment production technology. There, I worked on endorsement deals, licensing agreements and speaking engagements with some of the biggest names in music, film and television. 

​

While I love doing business, I've also spent the last 15 years committed to developing my creative skill set as a freelancer. As a photographer, my passion is for documenting people and experiences. I've shot everything from riots to weddings to print ads for The Macallan.

 

As a writer and blogger, my talent lies in writing fun, funny and thoughtful copy. I also write with a commitment to journalistic standards—my articles are always well researched and 100% factual.

 

As a musician, I've recorded three critically-acclaimed albums with the band Loquat. I licensed our music to shows on MTV, toured all over the United States, and performed at major music festivals.
